Fancy a weekend drone shoot out of Sydney? This is the perfect opportunity to fly your drone and shoot some of the most breathtaking sunrises around. This drone film of sunrise at Manning Lookout, Morton National Park will take your breath away.

We’ve been to Kangaroo Valley a few times now, originally to film the wombats and kangaroos commonly seen hopping around. At first light we would look-up to see a cloudy mist covering the valley. Once the sun had risen high enough, the fog started to dissipate and we were set for another beautiful day in the valley.

We had heard about Manning Lookout in Morton National Park but had no idea what to expect during sunrise. It was an opportunity to capture a different perspective above the clouds using our drone. It certainly lived up to it’s exceptions and we witnessed some amazing colour tones breaking through the cracks of the surrounding cliff edges whilst flooding into the cloud-filled valley floor.

We were limited by the Mavic Pro’s inability to deal with low light and high exposure contrast, often having to bring it back to swap the fixed ND filters. Missing out on the shoot time and battery life was frustrating but overall we feel happy with the end film and encourage others to give it a go, even if it’s just to witness one of the most spectacular sunrises I’ve seen around NSW.
